Eine Großtat an Album.
Anspieltips:
2. "The
3. "While The Song Remains The Same" zitiert "Falling
Down" denkt die Melodie hingegen zu Ende. Der Chorus ist wie ein Stich
ins Herz.
4. "Know We Can't Go Back" und "Lock All The Doors"
Don't Look Back in Anger? Niemals!
Noel has delivered another brilliant CD. It's very well produced by Noel
and each song flows into the next. It becomes clear that he creates an
album as a piece of art and not a collection of random songs. This makes
an individual evaluation of each song senseless. The CD should be
played through from start to finish and leaves a wonderful impression.
To be honest I could play the whole CD all day long.
I like the fact
that there is more rock guitar on this album compared to the first one
and he seems to be influenced here by Pink Floyd and David Bowie, which
can be clearly seen in 'Riverman' and 'The Girl with X-Ray Eyes'
respectively. That's fine with me !
'Lock all the doors' originates
from early Oasis and is at last in it's completed version. It's superb
and an absolute stand-out song.
Other absolute highlights are 'The
Dying of the Light' and 'Ballad of the Mighty I' but as mentioned the
other songs add greatly to the overall 'feel' of the album.
Now I'm
really looking forward to seeing NGHFB live again performing these
fantastic songs together with their first album and Oasis classics.
Nothing could be better !
